Asus, Acer on Deck, But Ultrabook Outlook Cut

According to latest reports, dealing with the imminent declaration made by Acer and Asus for prospective market shares for Ultrabooks, experts have claimed that the supercilious aim of 40% market share meant for Ultrabooks next year is still pending for a reality assessment.

In the meantime, Asus is all in readiness to launch nearly four new models of Ultrabook in the price band of $999 to $1,499. Reports have claimed that the $999 model will likely offer an 11.6-inch absorbing display; Intel's next- generation Core i5 "Sandy-Bridge" processor; and a handy 128GB solid-state storage drive. On the other hand, the high-end device, which is likely to cost around $1,499, will carry 13.3-inch display; Core i7 processor chip and an elephantine 256GB Solid State Drive (SSD).

Acer will also roll out its Ultrabooks soon, most probably next week, and the Ultrabooks are expected to start at around $899. In addition, Asus is likely to strike Acer's $899 starting price later this year.

But, it hardly implies that every IT giant is keen on launching Ultrabook this year, not at all.

For instance, the heavyweight IT champion Sony will perhaps wait until 2012 for launching its eagerly awaited Ultrabooks. Rest assured, the market is going to heat up soon enough, and almost all leading brands will jump on the bandwagon.
