The device came with Android 1.5 Cupcake at first then updated to Android 2.1 Eclair and now you can enjoy the latest version 2.3 Gingerbread.

And note that this release of Android 2.3 Gingerbread for Samsung Spica i5700 is not the official release of software. Some functions might not run after the update as this is the third party custom ROM for version 2.3.

- Download the update file CM-7.0.0-Spica-a1_update.zip (Size: 76 MB, Password: androidadvices.com). Due to heavy size, I recommend you to download it on your PC
- Now copy this .ZIP file into the SD card root directory of the phone
- Turn your device off and reboot it by pressing Volume Down key, make Call Button and the End Call button simultaneously to go into recovery mode
- From the list of options choose Apply ZIP from SD Card
- You will need to Wipe Data and Cache before continuing
- After update is done, reboot and check for the version. If will show the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
