Jailbreak Your iOS 5 Device With redsn0w

If you have the iPhone, iPad or iPod running with apple new iOS 5 and want to jailbreak your device, so today here we will help you how to do that. iPhone Dev team released the new jailbreak tool redsn0w fro iOS 5 Devices. This was the tethered jailbreak for devices running Apple’s latest software iOS 5. That means you will need to connect your device to the computer each time you reboot.

NOTE:- UNLOCKERS AND THOSE PRESERVING THEIR UNLOCKABLE BASEBANDS SHOULD STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS! You will very likely lose your unlockable baseband if you try to install iOS 5.

Currently this jailbreak works only with the following devices (all must be running iOS 5):

iPod touch 3G
iPod touch 4G
iPad 1
iPhone3GS
iPhone4 (GSM)
iPhone4 (CDMA)

Here’s how to jailbreak your iOS 5 device using the iPhone Dev-Team’s Redsn0w tool.

1. Update your Device with iOS 5, Download it from here

2. Now Download Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 for Windows or Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 for Mac.

3. Now Launch the redsn0w application from the redsn0w folder and choose Jailbreak Option.

4. Now plug your Device with PC. Make sure its OFF then click the Next button. After this RedSn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode.

5. After this when you device in DFU mode, Redsn0w will do the rest. Don’t do anything, just wait.

6. One your device is jailbroken, You can see the new screen on PC, it will ask you to ‘select your options’. Select Install Cydia and click next.

7. Once this is complete you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. Now you will need to rerun redsn0w to boot tethered. If you reboot your device untethered (Without redsn0w), Cydia and Safari may crash. To do this rerun redsn0w and select the Extra and then Just boot.
