This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 662x473px.
This is the screen you will be greeted with each time you launch the software. The only difference should be that no protection will be disabled as it currently is. From the above screen click on the Updates button on the left to get the following screen:
This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 662x473px.

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 662x473px.
Now click on the Protection button at the top on the left to go back to the main screen to see the following:
This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 662x473px.
There are 3 links at the bottom of the screen under Quick Tasks. Click on the top link which says “Enable All Protection” to get the following screen:
This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 662x473px.
Now you will notice that ALL the protection is enabled above. SpywareBlaster also protects the Firefox browser if you use that. Each time you launch the software you should see it like the above screen. If you start seeing unprotected sites when you first launch the program then something is disabling your protection, and you need to start investigating why it’s happening by running scans etc.
Otherwise you are finished, just click on the X in the top right corner to close the software. It will now run silently in the background protecting you and will load each time you reboot without you knowing, so the only other thing to do is keep it updated regularly.
Running Guide
There is no daily activity required, as stated above. SpywareBlaster runs silently in the background. Just get in the weekly habit of double clicking the icon that was placed on your desktop during the installation to launch the software:

  • Click on Updates on the left of the screen.
  • Click on the “Check for Updates” button to download the latest protection.
  • Click on the “Enable Protection for All Unprotected Items” link once it’s downloaded them (assuming there are some).
  • Once you have done the above that’s it, all finished, click on the X to close the window.
You may go periods without updates, this is normal so don’t worry. If that happens just close the window and continue normally.
