Surfing online is becoming unsafe day by day. Even a bit of
carelessness may prove costly. Whatever may our men on
guard online, do, I mean our cyber security experts ,bad guys
often outsmart them!!
Almost all internet users have account in same
site or the other may be email ,bank ,file hosting or any sort account
one thing is common, a login-id and a password for authentication
purpose. Thanks to the hard work by cyber security personals, now
our people are a bit concerned about maintaining a strong password
(about which I talk in another post),which can’t cracked by dictionary
or brute force attack. Unfortunately , it seems as if the bad guys are
blessed with a bit more brain than others and they always find a way
out. Now their latest trick is 'clip board hacking’.
What’s that?
Well clipboard is a special memory area, where the
copied items are stored .MS word users are familiar with this term.
Whenever you select something and press ctrl+C it gets stored in the
clipboard. Now what ?,people like you and me do often is, we make
strong passwords ,just store them somewhere and on need ,just copy
and paste on login page. But this is where a hacker might take advantage.
He can hack your clipboard and steal your password .I’m not just
saying something without any basis. This is one of the recent hacking
techniques, exposed by cyber security experts. So guys what’s the
moral of this story….?
Never copy and paste your password onto a login page
but type it.
