Content Cleaner
Content Cleaner is a browser-based service that allows users to scan and delete pornography based on keywords and even physical features of the content itself. Content Cleaner’s built-in algorithm is capable of detecting skin-tone levels and distribution of the actual content of an image or video and display it to the user as questionable content. The user can view every file that Content Cleaner finds and makes the final decision about whether or not a file is deleted. Content Cleaner is capable of erasing the user’s browser history, URL history, temporary Internet files, cache, and cookies, as well as actual images and videos found on the user’s computer. Content Cleaner is available for $19.99.
NetEraser
NetEraser is a similar program to Content Cleaner, although it costs $29.95. NetEraser uses the same technology as Content Cleaner to search for pornographic content based on keywords and skin-tone levels. Like Content Cleaner, NetEraser can also delete the user’s browser history, temporary Internet files, URL history, cache, cookies, and search engine data. However, NetEraser is also capable of deleting the contents of the user’s Recycle Bin as well as erase the user’s history in Windows Media Player, Real Player, and similar applications. Additionally, NetEraser includes support for Opera, Firefox, and Netscape.
Snitch
Snitch is a program available for $39.95 that is capable of detecting and removing pornography based on over forty different search parameters. Snitch is capable of removing all traces of pornography from a user’s computer in order to protect children from hidden files, safeguard the user’s reputation, and improve the performance of the user’s computer by removing unnecessary files. Snitch is also scalable to work with everything from a single home computer to multiple commercial servers and networked workstations.
