Motorola Droid Bionic 4G Smartphone with Dual-Core Processor

Motorola unveils its first dual-core processor smartphone which is named Droid Bionic 4G. The phone will be one of the first dual-core mobiles as there are a very few till now including the LG Optimus. Motorola has surprised the spectators with this device after it introduced its highly anticipated tablet Xoom which will be another Android tablet.

Droid Bionic 4G will be having a 1GHz dual-core processor which will be facilitated with a 512MB RAM. So the device will definitely be a fast Android phone which is by default a competitor to HTC Droid. The device is a power up for Motorola as this the first time for the company to adopt the technology at the right time. Since Motorola came into mobile business, its update policy has been a victim of criticism.
1GHZ is seriously a big addition to the Motorola smartphone family. The phone is rich in specifications too. Here are some specs as revealed by Motorola:
  • 1GHz dual-core processor
  • 4.3 inch touch screen
  • 960 x 540 screen resolution
  • Full HDTV 1080p support
  • 8MP camera
8MP is indeed a big deal if it comes with a dual-core processor. You are free now to capture as much as you can as the camera is capable of HD video recording. Don’t be disappointed, there is a video call camera as well on the front side of the phone. Other known specs of the phone include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. So the phone is reasonably affluent in specs and would certainly be in performance too.
The device will come with Verizon 4G LTE network which makes it a favorite for many consumers as Verizon has already a name of trust. The LTE network is set so that you get 10 times faster speeds than the ordinary 3G networks. Motorola is hopeful for the Droid Bionic to release in second quarter of 2011.
