Google fixes Chrome bugs

Google has issued a security update for its Chrome web browser to fix nine vulnerabilities within the browser and to mitigate a vulnerability in the Windows kernel.
The flaws affect the latest version of Chrome – 5.0.375.127.
Two of the browser flaws are rated as ‘critical’, six are ‘high’ risks and one is a ‘medium’ risk.
Chrome users are advised to install the update immediately as the flaws could make a computer vulnerable to spoofing, denial of service and remote code execution attacks.
It is believed that fixing the bugs cost Google $10,000 in fees to so-called Digital Bounty Hunters; the security researchers who fix the vulnerabilities.
Google recently announced that the Chrome web store was opening to developers and it has now announced that there will be a $5 sign up fee to reduce the number of malicious developer accounts.
A domain verification system will also be introduced.
